Item Description
8-1/8x10" promotional photo and hand-painted animation cel for 1964 Wood Woodpecker cartoon "Halloween Party" in which Woody Woodpecker creator Walter Lantz is seen along w/animated Woody to introduce three animated segments. The first two were not Halloween-related. The last, "Spook-A-Nanny," was and featured most of Lantz'a characters along w/ghost band that resembled The Beatles. Offered here is an original publicity photo of Lantz w/a cel overlay showing him holding Woody in the palm of his hand as two mop-topped ghosts play guitar by his head. Three .5" strips of tape at top hold set-up in place. .5' area of white paint missing from left ghost's face, o/w set-up is VF.
