Item Description
Vol. 2 No. 9 for Aug., 1935. 8.5x11" w/20 single-sided mimeograph sheets (including covers) stapled at spine. Front cover has nice art by Herman Cohen w/Fleischer Studio characters Popeye, Olive Oyl, Wimpy, Bluto, Grampy, Bimbo and others laughing at Betty Boop, who clutches at her backside. Inside cover reveals someone has torn out the bottom of her suit, exposing her naked rear. Her clinging swimsuit is also tight enough to be a bit revealing on the front cover as well. Issue includes several cartoons as well as biographies on Fleischer artists/employees, jokes, poems, announcements, etc. One page features numerous images of Mickey Mouse. Another features Betty Boop cartoon. Cover has a few minor handling creases w/some nicks from edges. VF. Extremely limited distribution just for studio employees. We have sold other issues of this for as much as $885. Nice graphics.
