Item Description
c. 1920s. Tin litho wind-up toy consists of 24" long folding arm which attaches to 8" tall lighthouse style tower. 7" long wind-up airplane w/built-in key and 4.5" long weighted "Sky Flyer" dirigible are attached to the arms. By winding plane tightly and releasing, it travels along the ground at first and then actually takes off and flies in a circle parallel to the dirigible. The toy components have nice graphics including detailed tower featuring World War I-era tank and howitzer. Plane has litho passengers in windows and die-cut pilot. Has built-in key and working. All pieces have scattered tiny paint nicks. Tower VG/Fine. Other components are Fine.
