Toothbrush is ©1929 King Features Syndicate Inc. 3.25x6-3/8” die-cut thin cardboard has wonderful image of Popeye saying “Blow Me Down Kids, Here’s Your Popeye Tooth Brush." Die-cut tabs at right hold 5.25” long plastic toothbrush with Popeye decal on handle. Made by Lor-Dent Co. N.Y.C. Card has tiny trace of wear around edges, trace of lt. dust soil, lt. crease. Brush area is still wrapped in original cellophane. Unused and overall VF. Rare on card. Next is 4.75” tall hand-painted bisque figure with movable right arm and wooden pipe in mouth with left arm designed to hold a toothbrush. Made in Japan but distributed by J. Chein & Co. Underside of base has Chein sticker. Tiny paint rubs, lt. dust soil. Right arm is loose, but easily re-strung. Fine. Nice detail. From the Carl Lobel Collection.
