Item Description
11" tall exquisite figurine on wooden base. Issued in 1994 by Another Rainbow through Connoisseur of Malvern, a British porcelain figurine studio whose works grace Buckingham Palace and The White House, this is the third in Another Rainbow's series of Carl Barks Figurines. Rendered in fine bone china, Scrooge stands atop pile of coins and cash with money bags at his right, holding tools he used to gain his first million - a pick and shovel. Each coin has details including stamped shields, eagle or laurel boughs. Dollar bills read "City Of Duckburg - Cool Cash - One Hundred Quackers." Coins have pure silver and 24 karat gold fired onto the porcelain. Bears a gold Barks signature on side of money bag applied just before the final firing. Number 87 of a limited edition of 100 produced, but of these 100, only 62 remain, 38 having been destroyed in an arranged agreement between Another Rainbow and The Walt Disney Company. Disney oversaw the destruction of these items. Does not come in original box but Mint as issued. Comes with 15x17.75" framed and double-matted lithograph of original 1974 Carl Barks painting. Hand-numbered, titled and signed by Barks. This is 7/100. Also included is "Carl Barks And The Disney Ducks" book published by Another Rainbow which has matching edition number. Print does come w/original box and also Mint as issued.
