Brass ring from 1936-37 cereal sponsored club showing discus thrower on the top while on the sides are various depictions of sporting equipment including boxing gloves, baseball bat and ball, football, tennis racquet and 3 small ball designs. The club was promotoed through Sunday newspaper ads endorsed by sports stars such as Jake Powell of the Yankees, Bill Terry as manager of the N.Y. Giants, and Helene Madison, Olympic swimming champion. The ring has lost all lustrous plating although still a very nice bright clean shade of brass. Only the second we've seen in about 20 years.
