1951 Cheerios promotion. First is 10.25x13.75" promotional ad clipped from Sunday comic section promoting coloring contest involving Lone Ranger images on Cheerios box back. Prize list includes ten trained white horses as first prizes, 1,000 Lone Ranger Decca Records albums as second prizes and 10,000 Lone Ranger western bandanas as third prizes. Comes with two clipped Cheerios box backs with two different pictures to color and four additional clipped pictures from another coloring promotion series. Next item is 5.5x7.75" typewritten letter with facsimile signature "The Lone Ranger" congratulating recipient on being third prize winner in coloring contest which closed May 28, 1951. Third paragraph text "I Am Sure You Will Get Lots Of Pleasure From Wearing Your New Lone Ranger Bandana". Comes with bandana folded as mailed which opens to 20x23" with image of the Lone Ranger on horseback and text "Hi-Yo Silver!" Box backs and pictures are trimmed a bit unevenly, letter has pencil date of August 1951 at top blank margin, otherwise all items are Exc. Extensive lot for a major Lone Ranger promotion. Letter is rare.
