Item Description
Each is 1-5/8x2" with text on bottom margin "© 1932 Ever Ready Label Corp., New York." Each also has illustration on reverse (gummed) of pleading pair of hands with text "Hunger...Knows No Holiday! Buy And Help Fight Depression! $1.00 Buys 1,000...Cartoon Labels." In addition to the maker name is the name of the "Salvation Army Campaign Department." In order top to bottom and left to right first shows FDR styled man rolling up his shirt sleeves and exclaiming "Come On America/Let's Get Busy!" Second shows pair of hobos. Third shows dog looking at empty food bowl. Fourth shows man, woman and dog naked except for the barrel each is wearing. This has small color dot off upper margin. Last is the happy sun coming from behind the clouds. Reverses have small spot of stamp hinge residue but otherwise Exc. Morry Greener Collection.
