Item Description
One unsigned and one signed matching 6.5x9" folders for event "Sunday, Feb. 7, 1971 the White House." Interior lists events with "Opening Remarks...The President" and "Sermon...The Power Of Prayer In The Space Age." Program does not stipulate who gave the sermon. We don't know if it was Graham or if he was only a guest. Coincidentally, the following Sunday, Nixon installed his secret taping system that later captured his Watergate related conversations. Blank folder has faint 1" tan mark. Signed folder has bold inscription by Graham at center. Below are four names. The first, apparently due to ink issues, was done twice and is unreadable to us. Second reads "Richard H. Ichard/Member of Congress." He was the last chairman of the House Un-American Activities Committee 1969-1975. Next is "John B. Connally." Four days later he became Secretary of Treasury but is more famous as being shot in the car with JFK. Last is William P. Rogers" serving as Secretary of State. Cover has two small .25" and .5" spots of surface paper off but they show little. On blank back cover about 3% of surface paper is off from previous album mounting. Still displays Fine. From the Harry McLaughlin Collection. Comes with Hake's COA.
