Item Description
Copyright National Periodical Publications Inc. 32 x 48 1/4" molded thin plastic in very high relief has "Batman" comic book logo at top with Batman and Robin just below swinging out on ropes at left side w/ "WOW !" word balloon to their left. Both figures are heading toward 30.5" long Batmobile which is just below center. Upper right has text " Send For Your Official Batmobile Scale Model Hobby Kit By Aurora/ See Back Of These Burry's Packages For Details". See next item #2728. Bottom has 7.5 x 31" text "BATMOBILE". Surface has light dust soil and aging with a few small scuffs, left side bottom border edge is missing 1 x 6.5" piece though not affecting text, 4" crack at top left side of Batmobile extends to border edge, and area just beneath Batman logo has four nail holes with another nail hole just above logo at left. Upper left border corner tip has 1/2" piece gone. Problems are mentioned for accuracy sake, and display maintains a bright and Fine/VF appearance overall. Display was fragile when it was made 45 years ago and had very limited distribution, just for major grocery stores in larger cities. Simply put, one of the nicest Batman in-store promotional items ever produced.
