Item Description
Original carton is 4" long. Side panels have creases and underside is covered in red crayon but top displays clean with just tiny corner off upper left. Box holds 1-1/8" dia. by 1-3/8" long red cardboard tube with thin aluminum pieces on each end one of which holds a red plastic eyepiece and the other of which holds an aluminum cut out to view a long strip of 16mm film by turning the crank on the side panel of tube. The 48" long film strip is over 90% complete with one broken sprocket hole. There are three frames missing from the Gabby Hayes panels and six frames off the baseball panels. The film strip has built in title panels and these are: How to Hit a Home Run, Squirrely Blows His Top cartoon, Old Faithful at Yellowstone Park, Sgt. Preston and Yukon King with Richard Simmons, Gabby Hayes Lightnin' Draw. This is only the fourth example of this rare premium that we have offered. With it comes a 6.5x13.5" clipping from a Sunday newspaper promoting the premium which cost 35¢ plus one "Quaker Puffed Rice or Wheat boxtop." Ad has couple of tiny edge tears repaired with transparent tape. Still displays Exc. A rare premium from the 1950-54 years of his TV show.
