Item Description
In 1947 General Mills offered one of the most popular premium rings ever created. Ring base has jagged design and burst to represent the action of atoms. The idea was to remove the red plastic end cap and expose the interior compartment to light and then in the dark see flashing atoms, although the half life of the interior material was so brief that this function ceased to work very quickly. However, the interior of the ring does retain a nice glow after light exposure. The ring itself is essentially Mint as issued with deep, rich golden luster. The box label has tiny paper loss on three edges from insects but remains 95% complete and with just minor wear from being mailed. The instruction sheet is 4x4" with just a bit of natural tanning of the front panel as folded. Overall a complete and NM example of an historic radio premium. Scarce in the condition as a complete unit.
