Item Description
9x11" photo album page has mounts holding four glossy original photos in place, each 2.75x4.75" for event held at Tropical Stadium on February 3, 1946.  Bottom two photos show Sisler in Habana Lions uniform.  He's walking through crowd in one photo. Photo at top left shows huge crowd at stadium and photo at right shows standing room only crowd at stadium facing stands.  Page is heavily worn with pieces out here and there but actual photos are Exc. and include 2-1/8x2.25" printed text paper for event.  Dick Sisler (1920-1998) had his Major League debut shortly after this event on April 16, 1946 with the St. Louis Cardinals.  He played with them in 1946-47 and 1952-53 and also with the Philadelphia Phillies from 1948-51 and the Cincinnati Reds in 1952.  His father was HOF member George Sisler.  Proper matting and framing would greatly enhance this group.  Nice candid images.  From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
