Item Description
Items range from a small 7/8" for Queen Victoria to a large 3" litho for Elizabeth II. Top to bottom and left to right there are two metal pieces and two celluloids for Queen Victoria. The first of these is for her 1887 fiftieth year of reign anniversary. Next is a hand inscribed award metal to a school child. Top has hanger dated 1893. Front pictures her and reads "The Queen Victoria Medal/School Board 1887 For London." Back of the piece has wreath surrounding raised text but with a hand inscribed name. Full text reads "Awarded To A. Maddox For Punctual Attendance Every Time The School Was Opened During The School Year Ended A.D. 1893." Next is first seen by us rare memorial button with black fabric. Text reads "In Memoriam. Beloved Mother Of Our King." Second is another memorial button. We've seen this before but scarce. In row two first item is for 1927 "Royal Visit" of "Duke & Duchess Of York." Couple of small age spots. The next four buttons picture King George VI with his wife. Fourth in the row has a few age spots and fifth has couple of near microscopic craze lines. The rest of the British buttons all picture Queen Elizabeth II and two of these include her husband. In row three #3 there is a little tan discoloration on the left side. In row four #1 there is just the slightest trace of age on the rim but very minor. In row five #3 the item has clear dome plastic over metallic image for her 1977 silver jubilee. Some surface wear on this one. The items for other royals include 1.25" for "Prince Henry Of Germany." This was issued during his American tour and has text "Compliments Of The Milwaukee Sentinel." Small marks on lower edges. Third and fourth of these picture the crown prince of Sweden (Gustaf Adolf) and the 1939 "Norwegian Royal Visitors/Twin Cities." The final item is a 1.25" picturing "King Peter II." Numerous rarities and vast majority are Exc. to Mint.
