Item Description
Complete set of 25 litho tin 13/16" buttons. These were sold in the 1930s with a piece of gum in a wax wrapper titled "Button Gum." Others in the series include movie stars, western frontiersmen and Indians. The inks on all of these were very susceptible to scratches and gathering dust. This set is exceptionally clean. The players are: Berry, Cissell, Cuyler, Dean, Ferrell, Frisch, Gehrig, Gomez, Goslin, Grantham, Grove, Grimm, Hartnett, Jackson, Lazzeri, Lyons, Maranville, Reynolds, Ruffing, Simmons, Suhr, Terry, Vance, Waner and Warneke. A little extra gray color on Simmons but otherwise a superior group of Exc. to Mint examples. Rarely offered as a set.
