Item Description
14x22" stiff cardboard sign for c. 1975 Broadway performance at the Belasco. In 1974, producer James Petruccio brought it to Los Angeles at the Roxy Club on Sunset Strip, then at the Belasco Theater in New York where critics panned it. It closed there after 45 performance. Text at top reads "Give Our Regards To Broadway And Tell Them We're On Our Way! Rocky." Card features iconic graphics of surprised looking Trixie with signature bright red lips and "The Rocky Horror Show" signature text across her forehead. Text on woman's hair also notes "Starring Tim Curry," who would later go on to star in the 1975 cult musical film adaptation. Curry was among the original London cast of Richard O'Brien's (Riff Raff) musical and carried the show over to the United States. 1.5" break to surface paper at bottom left. Still displays Exc.
