Item Description
34.75x101" overall with superbly macabre lithograph of snake handler Shamans amid an eerie fire-lit hall. This amusement area exhibit must have caused quite a sensation, exemplifying the ancient myth of the Moors. Text at bottom translates to "Andalusia At The Time Of Moors". Art is by L. A. Girardot. Poster was published in two separate sections and top half is printed a bit lighter than bottom half. Some professional restoration to upper portion affecting letters and corners. A few lt. folds barely visible on linen. Andalousie is an autonomous community of Spain whose name traces back to the Arabic language. Moors refers to populations of black African and people of Arab descent from northern Africa who came to conquer and occupy the Iberian Peninsula for nearly 800 years. A striking design with superb graphics. Incredible item for display.
