Item Description
7x7.75" thin art board has 5-7/8x6" India ink and colored marker image area with nicely detailed art of Elmlark facing viewer with small pink clouds floating passed her face. Art is signed in ink at lower right with tiny signature "Vaughn Bode". On the blank reverse side he has written "Deadbone Erotica #13 Plate Illustration One July 1973". Blank top margin edge of front has a few barely noticeable tan marks, otherwise art will mat and frame to bright and NM appearance. Comes with matching 6.25x6.25" sheet with unsigned pencil rough of the same image. Exc. Pair also includes 8-1/8x11" printed page from "Cavalier" magazine which has the same colored art at the upper right side along with a three panel "High Lizard" story across bottom. Page is VF. Walli Elmlark was a columnist for the rock and roll fanzine "Circus" and co-authored a book titled "Rock Raps of the Seventies". Elmlark built herself as the White Witch of New York and had an interest in the occult. Both originals are well done. See #2154 for a biography of Vaughn Bode.
