Item Description
Five items. Sheet music are all 10.75x13.75", each with six pages. Dates range from 1908 to 1916. One is English titled "Buster Brown Barn Dance", other titles are "Buster Brown Intermezzo", "Buster", and "Buster Brown His Song". First title has some dust soil throughout. Fourth title is heavily worn with cover attached to first page and back cover missing 1/3rd at lower right. Overall first three are VG/VF and fourth title is just Fair but has nice cover art by creator Outcault showing Buster singing a Resolution song as Tige winks at viewer while holding sheet music. Four page promo brochure is 10.5x14" c. 1914 with several wonderful illustrations by creator Outcault. Front cover has art of Buster at blackboard in schoolroom with Mary Jane nearby and Tige wearing dunce cap sitting on chair. Text promotes "75 Entertainers Including Buster Brown's Boy Scout Band" and includes back cover photo of the band with text "The World's Greatest Juvenile Musicians - Everyone A Soloist". Folder is for event held at Liberty Theater starting Monday, September 28th. Covers have scattered edge wear with some creasing including horizontal fold through center and small pieces out of corner tips. Just Good but extremely well done and rare. An instant early Buster Brown collection.
