Item Description
Each is approx. 10.5x14" with page count ranging from six to eight. Dates and titles are 1896 "The Dugan Kid Who Lives In Hogans Alley", 1897 "Dance Of The Hogans Alley Kid", and 1897 "Dance Of The Hogans Alley Hoboes". First title includes text at top of front "Dedicated To R.F. Outcault, Whose Genius Made Famous The Character Known As The Little Yellow Kid". No art is by Outcault. Cover images include Yellow Kid holding cigar with bandages on his feet with text on dress "Say! I'm A Peach In Dis It's Der Story Of Me Life See! And, I'm Alright!!". Second title shows Kid dancing and third title shows him holding cigarette with text on nightshirt "Say If Yer Don't Know Dis Here Dans, Yer Ain't In It Wid Us." Second title has purple fountain pen signature of composer Ferd C. Shardlow at right side of front cover. First title is missing a few tiny bit of paper at corner tips, second title has 2" diagonal crease at lower right corner of front cover and third title has "Sheet Music Department" ink stamp in 1.5x3" area at lower left corner of front cover. All have trace of lt. cover dust soil but group has near Fine appearance. Overall VG/Fine appearance. All feature the Yellow Kid with his yellow nightshirt. Historical comic strip related items. An instant collection.
