Item Description
c.late 1960s for a premium which was never produced.. 9 5/8x12.5" mat has 6.76x9.5" opening revealing sheet of vellum art paper with image in color pencil and ink. Wonderful scene includes Captain Crunch firing Pirate Cannon with large cannon ball flying through air which includes text “Free Inside This Package”. Text includes “Cap’n Crunch Plastic Action Toy Cannon With Cannon-Ball Projectile/it Actually Shoots”. Bottom area has image of pirate ship designed to be cut out and assembled for use as target. Blank margins of sheet have been taped in place with cellophane tape. A few letters of white paint text are missing a few tiny pieces, otherwise art is bright and Exc. Wonderful design. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold, accompanied by a letter to that effect from Gordon Gold.
