Item numbers 1429 through 3205 in auction 203.
14" long toy w/built-in key comes in box nicely illustrated on all sides c. 1955. Box shows wear, has a 2" tear on one panel, both end flaps loose but here and one inner flap reattached by tape. Still displayable as is, VG. Toy consists of hard plastic horse-drawn stagecoach and three tin litho cars. The tin cars have great lithography along w/text including "Red Stick Last Of The Creek Chiefs/Gen'l Jackson's Tennessee Volunteers/Davy Crockett King Of The Wild Frontier." Toy works and travels around in an erratic fashion as the cars swing about. One horse has tiny ear missing and only noticeable when viewed closely. Otherwise choice condition w/very little wear. Exc. Classic Davy item and scarce w/box. (H - $200 to $400)
