Item Description
See previous item #1304. All are c. 1940s for Cuban teams. Two pieces for Scorpions include 6" tall highly detailed ceramic planter with scorpion winding its way around baseball with large letter "A" in background. Scorpion's tail is missing some surface luster, planter has some lt. dust soil and aging. Fine/VF overall. Second item is wooden folding fan which opens to width of 13.75" with nice graphics of scorpion in center along with baseball equipment images at left and cartoon images of fans at right. Near Exc. appearance. Last two items are pair of matching 5.25" tall glasses, each with large letter "H" on one side and lion image on the other side with cartoon images around base of players in action including throwing ball to batter, dropping baseball, and arguing with umpire. Gold luster on top rim edge of both has wear, otherwise both are Exc. A neat novelty lot. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
