Item Description
At top of our photo is oval disc with logo and lettering "USN." This is marked "Sterling" on the reverse of the plate and measures 7" long. This shows some general wear but no damage. Next are two very special bracelets in our experience. Each one is about 6.5" long. Both were made by the same company although the reverses have different markings. In the case of the bracelet with the enamel son in service emblem the reverse panels are mostly marked "Sterling/Forget-Me-Not." In the case of the one with the blue enamel victory symbol the reverse panels are all marked "Sterling." On the Son in Service bracelet the panel to its left is inscribed "USN." The other links each have a center panel flanked by floral designs. Each center panel has inscribed name in the metal and with date of "1944" on the closing link. The other links have the names "Sis-Jim-Mother-Molly-Dutch-Nanna-Marilyn." N. Mint. The "V" bracelet also has year "1944" on the closing links. The other four links on each side of the Victory link have logos of the four different service branches, two of each, for "USN," army, army air corps, and marines. N. Mint. These last two in particular are great examples of WWII sweetheart and patriotic jewelry.
