Item Description
2x4" by American Art Works. Two sheets of celluloid are held together by brass grommets and there are notched wheels with three along the top edge, one at left, one at right, and three extending from the tires and spare tire on the bottom edge. These are designated and count both the "Home Team" and "Visiting Team" runs, hits, errors, as well as the games innings and outs. Reverse of the piece has advertising from dealer "Thomas B Jeffery Co. Of Illinois/1008 Michigan Ave., Chicago." In addition to the "Rambler" advertising at top is small image of baseball player with name below his belt and text to the side "Little Alexander/Mine Host To 35,000 Fans." At the bottom is image of bear holding baseball bat in its paws with text along side "A Hardy Welcome To Every National Bug." Very trivial traces of wear. We offered an example way back in Auction #184 with realized price of $600.00. Also see Bill Sunday votes for women item #127 and Al Smith boxing and baseball buttons #283-284. Exc. and displays Mint.
