Item Description
12x16x2.5" deep box c. 1950. Applied paper label on top has nice Fred Harman art with Red Ryder on horseback saying "Shoot 'Em On The Fly, Partner!-Red Ryder" as Little Beaver shoots at crow. Die-cut cardboard box has inside panel comic strip with Red Ryder telling Little Beaver how much fun the game is and ending with last panel with Red saying "Folks Should Never Shoot At Real Live Birds!" as Little Beaver says "Me Savvy-Red Ryder!". Box contains folded metal wire rack with separate wire with rubber tips which hold six molded plastic crows. Wire is to be placed on the unfolded frame which slopes down. Wire with crows then rolls down frame creating moving targets. Each crow has a scoring mark on his tail ranging from 50 to 100. Rifle is 13.5" long metal with plastic stock with relief image on both sides of cowboy shooting at mountain lion. Set appears unused as corks were never removed from bag. A few spots of oxidation on wire frame, could be easily cleaned. Instruction folder has lt. age tanning with 2" tear at top. Fine. Gun works. Box and contents are Exc.-N. Mint. As nice as they come. Great design.
