Item Description
8.5” tall mostly tin litho. 1950s by Nomura Toys, Japan. Depicts boy holding a camera which is plastic with stiff paper accordion bellows and has tiny flashlight bulb. Hands are hard rubber. He wears a hat with the letter “K,” a light meter is in his shirt pocket, camera bag is over his shoulder and in his back pocket is a rolled-up magazine. Toy works and boy moves around as head turns side-to-side. He raises and lowers the camera as if taking pictures and a clicking noise is produced as the flash lights. Small scattered paint nicks and scratches but remains bright and glossy. VF. Great design and a scarce battery operated toy.
