Item Description
In 1934, Tom Mix purchased a stake in the Sam B. Dill Circus and the combined venture became known as the “Sam B. Dill Circus And Tom Mix Wild West Combined.” The following year Tom bought out Dill and thus owned his aptly-named “Tom Mix Circus.” We mention that because this button is likely from 1934 given the text that reads “I Am A Member Of The Tom Mix Wild West Club.” Button has no maker’s name and no backpaper although this is likely as issued. Image of Tom has tiny forehead dot and similar on cheek caused by the slightest ink concentration in the printing but these are not stain marks. There is a trivial light .25” scratch at the far left showing only in reflected light. Basically the button is N. Mint and displays Mint. The only example known to us. Comes with Hake’s COA.
