Item Description
1949 General Mills premium features ring of adjustable brass bands with telescoping tube on the top that opens to 2” long. Small losses of original luster from the ring and one gray spot on the aluminum tube but overall both the ring base and tube are VF. Ring front has small cut-out through which a 3-7/8” long filmstrip is inserted and then the film is viewed by looking into the tube end while holding the ring to the light. Filmstrip is titled “U.S. Marines” and has various frames of military men in military action scenes. Filmstrip is complete. Comes with folder that opens to 5.5” square showing movie film ring operating instructions on one side while other side has coupon to order additional ring and a description of each of the 25 frames on the filmstrip. Folder has 3 very small age marks on its center fold line and front panel is a little brown from being in the carton over the years but still overall VF. Original mailing box is 1” deep by 3x3”. This has most of the address label gone but o/w is in solid, clean condition. The filmstrip itself as well as the descriptive folder are particularly scarce.
