Auction #199 - Part II
Item numbers 973 through 2378 in auction 199.
The Hopalong Cassidy-endorsed program to get children to open bank savings accounts, ran in both the United States and Canada. See lot #2027 in this auction as well as lot #1119. The buttons distributed in the 2 countries have the same designs but the Canadian series is smaller in size. The US version of this button is 1-3/8”. This Canadian version is 1-1/8” litho and designates the lowest rank of “Tenderfoot.” Button has rather wide streak of paint missing from the right side edge but majority of missing paint does not show from the front. There are a couple of tiny scuffs and chips that do show but the piece still displays Fine and glossy. Much scarcer than the USA version. Comes with Hake’s COA. (F - $75 to $100)
