Item Description
7.5x8” 1950s folder with imprint of Fischer Baking Co. Opens to total of 32” in length and designed to hold 32 numbered labels. Front cover image is of lion leaping forward. The 4 inside panels have designated areas where labels are to be pasted and around these areas are additional illustrations of related themes such as jungle animals, pirates and Eskimos. Sixteen labels have been neatly mounted at appropriate spots. These feature choice full color illustrations along with block of related text asking a question with image revealed by placing “Magic Viewer” sheet over the label. The original thin transparent plastic “Magic Viewer” sheet is included. Labels feature illustrations including Jesse James, Cave Man/Saber-tooth Tiger, Admiral Peary, Jungle Explorer/King Cobra, Buffalo Bill, Jet Plane, Jolly Roger, etc. Back panel has additional questions/images revealed by the magic viewer. Album has lt. trace of cover wear/aging including some small stains as labels are mounted. Album still VF while labels are Exc. to N. Mint. Great design and a rare series. The last time we offered a group of just 12 labels from this series the lot sold for $500.
