Item Description
We’ve seen this design on one other Minnesota button from 1960 but that is in a smaller 1.5” size. This is a larger 2.25” size and shows Smokey holding his fire shovel with a pair of bear cubs by his legs. Text reads in full “Smokey’s Timber Tennial/Aug. 14, 15,16-1964/International Falls, Minn./Prevent Forest Fires.” Couple of very minor hairline scratches in reflected light only. Button is Exc. and displays Mint. A rare local dated issue.
