Auction #199 - Part II
Item numbers 973 through 2378 in auction 199
Item Description
Each of these is 1.25” with serial number meant to be matched to numbers published in the newspaper in a prize contest. The upper 2 buttons picturing Ignatz and Krazy both have their backpapers explaining the contest. Both of these are also clean and essentially Mint. At the bottom is one of the few buttons in the “New York Evening Journal” rather large set to actually show the full figure of the character. While this is missing its backpaper, the piece is o/w Mint. These are the only 3 buttons in this set to picture these characters. From the Richard Merkin Collection. Comes with Hake’s COA.
