Item Description
1.25” beautifully designed multicolor c. 1940s showing Donald as English Grenadier guard, although the rifle over his shoulder is the cork-popping, not bullet-firing variety. Captioned “Granadiers Club” with the image and name making a pun on the name of the club sponsor “Granada Cinema.” Top curl reads “By Permission Of Walt Disney Mickey Mouse Ltd.” One of only 4 we’ve seen in 4 decades. Cello has U-shaped scratch, each arm just about 1/8” long showing in reflected light along the front edge of his hat and face but under normal viewing not showing at all. This remains an exceptionally clean and glossy example. N. Mint and displaying Mint. Comes with Hake’s COA.
