Item Description
7/8” very early and quite possibly from the first year of the park’s opening in 1897. This beautifully colored 7/8” button features symbolic character with text promoting “Steeplechase/Funny Place.” The famous Steeplechase Ride was a feature attraction of the park and consisted of a horse race which wound around the Pavilion of Fun. Backpaper has address of NYC early button jobber W.F. Miller. Exc. and displays Mint. Scarce. See rare related next 3 items.
