This catalogue is exclusively for "Oak Hytex Toy Balloons" with heavy emphasis on Disney, Disney items are featured on 15 pages. An incredible assortment of balloons are featured, different shapes, sizes, styles, etc. Disney characters featured include Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Pluto, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Elmer. Specific Disney items include stratosphere balloon, toss-up figural balloons, sales promotion balloons, store display box, etc. Non-Disney character items include: animals, Santa Claus, circus theme, patriotic, nursery rhyme characters, Betty Boop-like "Snappy Suzie," Jimmy Durante-like "Snooty Sam," emblem and lodge prints, state, county and local fair designs, etc. Profusely illustrated, extremely detailed and descriptive text throughout. Front cover features Mickey and Donald balloons. Cover has some scattered light pinch creases from handling, VF while contents are Exc./N. Mint. Comes with 8.5x11" four-page price list in black/yellow featuring many illustrations although all are non-Disney. Light wear, Fine.
Pair of 7.5x10.5" four-page glossy paper supplements to catalogue No. 389. These are from 1940, one features Mickey Mouse inflatable toy on the front and inside features series of Ferdinand the Bull balloons as well as Dopey toss-up. Others featured include Peter Rabbit, Santa Claus and "Children Of Many Lands." Second supplement features transportation-related balloons on the front, two inside pages promote new series of Pinocchio balloons including those with "growing noses." Light aging and Exc. Other items include 5.5x7" two-sided supplement, Volume 9, No. 4 July 1934 which introduces the Mickey Mouse toy balloons. Three styles are pictured and described and this supplement comes along with matching two-sided price list. Light handling wear and VF. Final item is 3.75x7" "Practical Sales Promotion Plans" booklet on "How To Increase Sales With Oak-Hytex Balloons." 16 pages in bw nicely illustrated throughout with detailed text for retailers. Highlight of the booklet is inside front and back cover which feature collage of variety of balloons all in full color with much Disney content. This is copyright 1939. Trace of staple rust but Exc.
4x9" four-page glossy paper promotional folder issued as a supplement to catalogue No. 367. Late 1930s. Front features the Mickey Mouse stratosphere balloon. Other pages feature toss-ups of Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Elmer, Disney character "Heads" balloons and "Mickey Mouse Variety Stripes." Light handling wear. VF. Second item is 9x14" die-cut piece that served as the "basket" for the stratosphere balloon. This features images of Mickey, Minnie, Pluto and Donald who holds the book "Remedies For Air Sickness." This piece was to be attached to the balloon but remains unused with just light handling wear/aging. VF.
