Item Description
1.5” button with elaborate backpaper design by “Harvey Photo Button” of Chicago. Back has horizontal bar pin which holds the 3” ribbon. Back of ribbon has pair of small glue dots where it passes through the bar pin but this does not affect the display which shows just a little brown tone on the center white stripe. The button depicts 2,200 school children at the 30th National Encampment of the Grand Army of the Republic. The event was held in St. Paul and their “Living Flag” was formed by the use of bleachers and color-contrasting clothing. Reverse has small 1/8” cello split making a barely perceptible bump on the top rim edge but all else displays essentially Mint. Rare.
