Item Description
First features 1.5” button with yellow ribbon holding brass suspension inscribed “Official Souvenir” and showing the official logo in the circular brass area. Piece is 4.25” tall overall. Some fabric separation where the cloth joins the brass but fabric remains intact enough to hold the suspension. Second is 2.25” button on ribbon badge 5.25” tall. Button served as an actual ticket and reads “Admission Day/Admit One Until 1 P.M.” This piece has very minor rippling of the fabric ribbon but o/w displays essentially Mint and has backpaper by local maker “B. Pasquale Co.” This piece is quite scarce and by itself is easily worth more than the opening bid. The final piece is quite gorgeous but there is a fabric split on the right side where the ribbon joins the hanger. This is about 1.25” long but still about 50% remains un-split. This ribbon badge was issued for “Closing Day” in 1915 and has great color button of fashionable woman waving her hanky in a farewell gesture to the Exhibition. This button also, like the previous, served as an admission ticket as there is a key design with the text “Admit One.”
