Item Description
2.25” real photo without dot pattern has color tinting and pictures elderly and likely Navajo woman in the process of weaving a basket. At her left is a small additional unfinished basket and above this is a very large basket holding her raw materials. There are no markings on the piece but it came with a collection, including the 2 previous rare Eskimo-related lots, devoted to the St. Louis World’s Fair. Almost certainly, this was a souvenir from the Cliff Dwellers exhibit which was “On The Pike.” Some trivial pinpoint dots of silvering off the mirror but piece is N. Mint and displays Mint. Only example known to us.
