Item Description
Brass base with adjustable bands has his name on each top edge above crossed bats and a ball. Ring top has 1” tall white plastic replica of him with light pink accents on the shoes. This figure has been skillfully re-glued to the white plastic base with just a tiny hairline of the silvery fixative material beneath his feet. This white base is in turn riveted to the ring top and the base has a small white tab which can be rotated slightly to one side placing tension on a thin wire which runs around the perimeter of the ring top and then makes a right angle upwards where it holds a small white plastic baseball. When the platform is slightly turned and released, the figure then moves as if striking the ball. The action is not particularly dynamic but again this was a kids premium. This ring was quite fragile and most examples were quickly destroyed by their original owners. Ring base has extremely fine luster about 85% complete. The tiny defect is hardly apparent and the piece is working and displays extremely Fine. Mint examples can exceed $400.
