Item Description
1.25” button almost certainly from his 1926 fight during the Philadelphia Sesqui-Centennial celebration when he lost on 9/23/26 to Tunney. Reverse has backpaper by Phila. Badge Co. Spring pin holds original rwb ribbon which forms lacing of suede boxing glove stuffed with cotton. A little of the surface brown color is off the boxing glove on each side. It remains quite intact and could be easily taken off if desired. We took it off for the photo Hake Book Collectible Pin-back Buttons photo example Boxing Section #48. We have now replaced it as the item is being offered. Button is Exc. and displays Mint. Comes with Hake’s COA. Rare.
