Item Description
1.25” with Bastian backpaper used only 1907-1920. Santa flies high above the landscape wearing white lap robe as he steers his strange craft resembling a sleigh but outfitted with a whirling disk, rudder and what appear to be yellow wings for balance, all suspended by a gray area representing the base of a dirigible. Known with various inscriptions and this reads “I’m On My Way To Gottshalk’s.” Exc. and displays Mint. An early classic most likely c. 1907.
