Item Description
1.75x2.75” badge issued by “ABC News” to its employees which has an opening on the reverse so a job title or name could be inserted to show through the narrow window on the front. This window reads “Observer.” This August 21, 1965 launch was for an 8-day mission by Pete Conrad and Gordon Cooper (see previous item). The flight took the duration record away from the Soviets and proved man could travel to the moon and back. Badge has couple of shallow pinpoint indents in reflected light but is Exc. and displays N. Mint. Rare.
