Item Description
1.25” with very attractive design showing space capsule floating in space with the Earth depicted on the left side showing the North and South American continents. Text reads “Friendship 7/Feb. 20th 1962/Project Mercury.” This was America’s second space flight, the first being the sub-orbital “Freedom 7” mission by Alan Shepard the previous year. Our Hake Collection example sold earlier exceeded $200. Rare and essentially Mint.
