Item Description
7/8” beautifully designed in shades of green with color photos of both men. The brothers had achieved powered flight in 1903. They spent the following years defending their patents and this button was issued six years later upon their return from Europe to a huge welcoming in their hometown. Button reads “Wright Brothers/Home Celebration/Dayton Ohio/June 17-18/1909.” Design is mere 1/32” off-center to the right. Complete with W&H backpaper. Couple exceedingly tiny and faint scratches show a trifle in reflected light but button is Exc. and displays Mint. Scarce and historic button.
