They spent the following years defending their patents and this button was issued six years later upon their return from Europe to a huge welcoming in their hometown. Button reads “Wright Brothers/Home Celebration/Dayton Ohio/June 17-18/1909.” Design is mere 1/32” off-center to the right. Complete with W&H backpaper. Couple exceedingly tiny and faint scratches show a trifle in reflected light but button is Exc. and displays Mint. Scarce and historic button.
