Item Description
We can’t decipher the significance of this large 2.5” button but it is quite interesting. In the bkg. is a red design apparently representing some sort of transmission tower with the base area somewhat in the form of a human. Overprinted is profile of Cadillac additionally accented by headphones with small antennas. Complimenting the images is the text “The City Of Gompers” plus the large letters “GO.” While the name Gompers seems to reference the famous founder of the A.F. of L. union, we don’t know what the phrase references. Button has small raised area center top caused by the reverse bar pin. Also in reflected light are several long and somewhat deeper than normal surface scratches although when viewed normally these don’t show. Button still displays clean and glossy. VF and only example we’ve seen.
