Each is 1.25”. Typically these have backpapers from tobacco companies (see lot #416) but these have the much scarcer backpaper which reads “Cracker Jack 5¢ Candied Popcorn & Roasted Peanuts.” Lady with red bkg. has 1906 W&H copyright on the curl. Very slight surface scratching in reflected light but piece displays Mint. Backpaper has small brown marks, each about 3/16” on the right-hand side but most is clean. Second lady with green bkg. has light all-over surface wear but displays cleanly. This backpaper is tan all over. Third button of lady with red hair bow has 1907 W&H copyright. Reverse has narrow 1/16x.25” cello sliver off along the collet but this doesn’t show from the front. The backpaper is extremely clean. Last with brown bkg. is lady facing left. This has small stain mark by her hairline and more noticeable stain line across the bottom of the button. Backpaper has 2 dark tan spots but over 90% is clean. With the Cracker Jack papers in place, these are all quite scarce give-aways.
