Item Description
This early 1900s rare and very clever mechanical novelty is German-made and features a glass mirror on the underside. Top view has glass cover over very colorful image of a photographer standing next to a large portrait camera mounted on a tripod. Text above reads “Sauer’s Flavoring Extracts/Best By Test.” The photographer has a movable arm and his hand holds a rounded disk which rests behind a tiny metal tab in front of the camera lens. When the piece is shaken, the photographer’s arm rises revealing a .25” silver metal insert which is capable of reflecting the image of the person looking into the camera lens hole. Most unusual. Rare and N. Mint.
