Item Description
2.75” oval c. 1900 with maker’s name W&H on the curl. While celluloid displays beautifully, below the large letter “V” is a 3/16” horizontal cut in the celluloid showing just a trifle. Also in reflected light there is a .25” dia. thin layer of apparent glue over the brown tabletop below the horn. This barely shows and does not interfere with the wonderful detail which includes reflections of the machine and Nipper’s body onto the polished wooden tabletop. Some tiny dots of missing silvering but nothing very serious. Overall Fine but displays beautifully with wonderful color. Also see early phonograph-related items #425-427.
