Item Description
As with many Marx playsets, there were several different varieties of this set issued. 1950s and as indicated on one side panel, this is set “No. 4349.” 11x28.5x3” deep box contains very nicely designed set. Box has printing in blue and as is typical, the color intensity varies. Box has just slight trace of wear, VF. Set features an exceptionally colorful 3-piece tin litho stage which has never been assembled. This includes “curtain” section with comedy/tragedy masks represented by Mickey and Donald plus bkg. panel featuring story art illustrations of all the characters included in this set. The soft plastic figures include characters from Snow White, Pinocchio, Alice, Dumbo, Peter Pan plus Mickey and Donald and their families. Hard plastic accessory “stage props” include two-story house fronts, fireman’s safety net, banquet table, etc. Set is missing just one minor piece, a lantern. Also includes script booklet, original instruction sheet (aged but clean) and original bags which have typical wear. Lt. aging to some of the figures but overall set remains unused and Exc. to Mint.
